I'm not just saying this because I'm an Adjunct Professor at Essex County College in Newark. I'm in support of the program because I'm single and childfree and hope that whom ever is taking care of me, as I convalesce in an assisted living home, that the caretaker can read and follow the directions on my prescription bottle!! Dispense with food!! LOL!! WE NEED A QUALIFIED, SKILLED, WORKFORCE!! That's it and thats all!! And a free college education is a good place to start.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would have been proud of me today because I overcame to make it to Fox Studios, ON TIME AND RET TA GO! Here's how my day went: I had a two hour window to leave East Harlem at 2:45!! Run home to Newark!! Throw some oil, water, and Cream Of Nature, Perfect Edges gel on my hair, to tame my nappy mane! LOL. Tie it down with a scarf! Arch my why brows!! Shave my mustache and goatee!! LOL. Yes, you heard me!! Got dressed!! Throw on my foundation and ride my crazed, exhausted a_s, BACK TO NEW YORK all by 5pm. Just in time to get my face snatch by the make-up artist before the broadcast. WHEW!! Lisa doesn't know the definition of the word no!! Being tired matters a dayum!! Because her mantra is, "Lisa gurl, you have enough time to rest, when you die!!" LOL. I think Brother Martin would appreciate that philosophy. And scene!!

In fact, anyone who knows me, knows, I love a good wedding. I shut the place down!! I go, get my eat on, get my dance on, and bounce!! So this blog is partly my commentary, partly my opinion, partly my observation, partly my experience, partly research, partly statistics, but mostly giving you something to think about. So it isn’t to be taken personally as if this song is about you!! If the shoe fits, wear it!! If it don’t apply, let it fly!! LOL.

Yes, I am aware that there are happy marriages. Yes, I am aware that there are good marriages. I THINK my brothers Kenny & Craig are in good marriages. The operative word is THINK. I would never say that I KNOW what kind of marriage they have because I don’t live with them. Because I’m also aware that the divorce rate is 60%, which means, there are a lot of very unhappy couples out there, who might look happy, as you’re peering through the picture window of there home, but in reality, could be scratching each others eyes out. And let’s not mention the percentage of people who are not divorced, but are separated in the house. If we throw that little known fact in, the number of unhappy marriages grow even bigger!! So ladies, stop living vicariously though other women by gassing yourselves up and letting visions of sugar plums dance in your heads about the perfect marriage. Playing games like that with yourself can cause YOU to get married to the wrong man, at the wrong time, for the wrong reason/s. And love, ALONE, is not a good enough reason to get married. You’ll be divorced before the signatures dry on your marriage license.

Not only do YOU NOT KNOW what’s going on in other women’s marriages, nobody EVER really knows anybody fully, not even the people in the marriage. Can I get an Amen??? A perfect example is #TheFugees video director, #AswadAyinde, who got 50 years for repeatedly raping all 5 of his OWN daughters. NASTY!! And if that’s not bad enough, he is believed to have fathered 6 children with three of the daughters, he delivered the babies himself at home and when two died, he buried them in the backyard without reporting it to the police. This man is a monster!! I’m sure his wife Beverly thought she knew him. I’m sure a lot of women thought she had a good man because he was a successful, award winning music producer, with money and celebrity and he looked like father of the year. So for those women who know them personally, who were at the wedding and wished it could have been them, because they appeared to be such a happy couple, with a wonderful marriage, clearly now realize that they dodged a bullet and an orange jumpsuit!! Because if a man did that to my child, the department of corrections would be my new fashion stylist!! Period.com!! Is my point becoming any clearer to y’all now??

Ok, let me go here, over the years, many women I knew and came in contact with, fronted like they had the best husbands since sliced bread. But once they got divorced, then they told me all the gruesome details of how they bought their own wedding ring, how he cheated on them constantly, even on the wedding night, he had children with mistresses, he gave her a disease, he abused her and the list goes on. I could have been married too; twice!! Don’t act so shocked!! LOL. If I didn’t wake up and smell the cappuccino, I would have been married and divorced and married and divorced. But I’m not into faking the funk!! The first time I was proposed to, if I would have accepted, I would have been married to a crackhead, alcoholic, whom I shall call “Summit.” Sure, I could have married him and acted like we were living the American dream; a house, 2.5 kids and a dog. But the reality was, I would have been in the house suffering with an addict, who was stealing from me and telling his mother I was stealing from him, to hustle her out of money to pay his “rent.” When in reality, he smoked up the money!! Sure, I could have married “Summit” and bragged that I had a good man, when in reality, he was always home in drunk sleep or in the middle of some junkie mood swing. But instead of trying to fit into the “moral high ground, married, woman’s club,” I decided to be true to myself and I left his stupid, lying a_s!! Sure, I could have been married to Ken, a man who I dated for 7 years, who loved me so much, that he left me in the hospital to die. With that kinda love, give me hate!! Oh, we made a beautiful couple back in the day. He was tall, light and handsome. I was tall, cute and aerobicized. LOL. We were both educated, had careers and traveled to nice places on vacation every year. So from the outside, we looked fabulous. But from the inside, I was a low self-esteem hot mess and HE played a big part in it. Every chance he got, he told me straight to my face, “Lisa I love you but I’m not in love with you.” Hearing that made me cry uncontrollably. But when I finally decided to leave his un-attentive, neglectful, a_s, he asked me to marry him. For those of you who watched the show #Martin, do you remember his first proposal to Gina?? He screamed, “Ok Gina I’ll marry ya!!” As if he was some kind of prize that she was begging for and couldn’t do without. Well that’s exactly how Ken asked to marry me. When we met at the Ponderosa in West Orange, NJ one day for our break up lunch, he said, “ok Lisa, what do you want, a ring?? Is that it?? Is that what you want, a ring?? Ok, I’ll get you a ring!!” I felt so cheap and disgusted! I wanted to throw up in my mouth! This man thought that he was some sort of consolation prize on #ThePriceIsRight!! But at that point, I had the strength and the self-esteem to tell him, very politely and assuredly, “NO KEN, I DON’T WANT A RING. I WANT TO LEAVE YOU AND THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I WILL DO!!” I walked out and never saw that ‘ignant’ fool again!! LOL.

Let me recap; NEVER admire any other woman’s marriage!! Yes, be happy for them. But spend your time staying open to meeting the man who is right for you!! So the moral of this blog is…since you never know what’s going on in another woman’s marriage, just chill!!! Drop the desperation!! It ain’t cute!! Understand that the grass ain’t greener on the other side of the street, because all you have to do is water your grass and it will be green too!! Ladies, I know deep down y’all know EXACTLY what I’m talking about!! That’s it and that’s all!!

It’s been reported that 42 year old, married mother of three, Iris Ann Gibney of #PottstownPennsylvania, was caught by a cop, butt a_s naked, in a car, at a park, “having sex” with a 17 year old male high school student. Now, y’all tell me, if this was a 42 year old man, caught butt a_s naked, in a car, at a park, “having sex” with a 17 year old female student, would we be calling it “sex??” I don’t think so!!! We would be calling that man every kind of rapist that we can find in Webster’s Dictionary. So for the life of me, I’m not understanding why we aren’t just as alarmed when women rape boys. It’s almost as if “we” are glad that the boy is “getting some.” Well I’m not!! I think it’s just as damaging for a boy, to have sex with a woman, as it is for a girl, to have sex with a man. Why, BECAUSE IT’S RAPE AND WE ALL SHOULD BE OUTRAGED!!!

Is she saying that she has ZERO ability to discern right from wrong?? Is she really serious??? Anybody who would believe that, I have a bridge I wanna sell you. First of all, that was NOT that woman’s first time raping that boy!! It was her first time getting caught!! And what does it matter if it was?? I know, if you rape once, then you’re not a rapist?? Get the “cluck” outta here!! This lady needs to lay on “several couches!!” Again, do men who rape little girls, get to say to the police, “I’m sorry!!” NO! She sent him nude photos.” Paramour!! Paramour!! Are they serious?? The dailycaller.com called a 17 year old boy, a 42 year old woman’s paramour!!! That is bootleg journalism at it’s best!! Nobody who is a minor can be a paramour to a 42 year old, stank, nasty, #cougar!! Why?? Because the definition of a paramour is…“a lover, especially the illicit partner of a married person.” CHILDREN CAN’T BE LOVERS TO RUSTY A_S GROWN PEOPLE!! That would be called RAPE!! I’m disturbed by media outlets and blogs who use these kinds of words, when the sexual predator is a woman!! Again, I will beat this horse till I kill it dead; if that were a man who was “performing sex acts” on a 17 year old girl, NO media outlet would EVER have called the girl a paramour. PERIOD!! Yes, Gibney was arrested for the "sex act." Yes she posted bail of $50,000 and faces a preliminary hearing this week for criminal charges of corruption of a minor, dissemination of explicit materials and trespassing in Hollenbach Park. But no, she’s not facing any charges of rape, sexual misconduct, sexual molestation, NOTHING. So I’m sure this lady will NEVER see a minute of jail time, even if she’s found guilty of all the charges. While I’m saddened by that, I’m actually more concerned with the fact that she is running around footloose and fancy free through the community!! Aaaaaaan, she’s allowed to be around her children!!?? #OMG!! #DISASTER!! I don’t know the ages of all three of her kids, but she does have a teenage daughter who is a cheerleader at Pottsgrove High School, which is where Gibney met the boy, while volunteering as a “cheer mom.” This sexual predator doesn’t need to be around minor children. PERIOD! This sexual predator doesn’t need to be around HER own minor children. PERIOD!! I’m sorry, but when you rape a child, I think you might rape any child, INCLUDING YOUR OWN!! Why her husband told NBC Philadelphia that he is primarily interested in keeping his family from disintegration is beyond me. His wife made sure of that already. So I don’t know what he meant by his statement, but how I took it is, he’s gonna stand by his wife and keep the family together. I hope I’m wrong!! Because if this man would have found out that a 42 year old man was “performing sex acts” on his teenage daughter, he’d want him locked up and the key thrown away!! So he should want nothing less for his wife!! After all, the boy she raped is someone’s child and deserves justice!!

As a community, we have to do a better job of criminalizing women who rape boys!! Yes, I do realize that some boys see sex with women as sex with women. As a badge of honor!! No, many of them aren’t going to look at it as rape themselves. OF COURSE NOT, THEY’RE CHILDREN!! That’s the point!! But we are the boss of kids!! We tell children what is right, from what is wrong! It’s our job to teach THEM!! We make decisions for THEM!! We tell THEM what to do!! Not the other way around!! I am so worn by this!!!

I'm very sorry, but I can't even wrap my brain around some spoiled, little rich, snob, chilling on their Yacht, cruising around the South of France, while sipping on $3,500,000 per bottle #TequilaLey925,nibbling on scones, while boo hooing to their filthy rich peeps, about how they are stressed out and anxious because they'll ONLY have a "kabillion" dollars in their retirement fund. Are these people that disconnected from reality?? OMG IS IT ME??

Listen, please don't take my rant to mean that I'm in anyway, prejudice against the rich. If a person is rich, woo hoo, they're rich!! Goody goody for them. They've earned every penny and shouldn't apologize for enjoying it!! And hell, it really doesn't matter to me even if they were born into money like #ParisHilton or inherited their riches. Once the money is yours, it's yours!! How one acquires money, is immaterial, except if aquired through ill-gotten gains. So don't get it twisted, there is no jealously or envy on my part for the rich, because it won't change the fact that I'm poor!! LOL.

YES, I'm aware that rich folks lose businesses, family wealth and go "so called" bankrupt. But c'mon, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS RICH POOR PEOPLE!! In hard times, they may lose summer homes, memberships to country clubs, may no longer be able to afford to buy Beluga Caviar or get evicted from their castle. WOW, I'm laughing out loud as I write that ridiculous sentence. LOL. But when hard times hit for actual poor people, their lights get turned off! Their hoopty (car) gets repossessed! They don't have ANY food to eat!! They get evicted from their primary residence! So you can't put a rich person's imagined anxiety about money, in the same sentence with a poor persons actual anxiety about money; that's a cruel joke!!

Ok, here's my issue; with all the #poverty, #homelessness, #joblessness, #suffering and financial ruin that's happening in our communities all over the country today, how in good conscience can Forbes even publish an article allowing these well off wackos to complain about their impending homelessness on the hill?? If the shoe fits, wear it!! If it don't apply, let it fly!! LOL. Bottom line, what REAL poor person wants to read about rich folks blubbering on and on till the break of dawn about their foolish fears of a not so opulent future?? It's DISRESPECTFUL!! I’m aware “ish” happens to people. The average person has or will have financial difficulties in their lifetime. That's nothing new!! But why should the landlord have allowed his girlfriend’s medical condition to create a financial burden for him?? Why didn't the boyfriend pick up the slack and pay the rent until her disability check came in?? Afterall, isn't that why people shack up together; to be a team! So when one person can't, the other one should!! Not for nothing, but if my man can't pay the rent by himself without my contribution, then we have NO REASON to live together. We might as well live seperately and pay our own bills. Sorry, I'm old fashioned that way. So yall are welcome to kick my back in about that one!! LOL.

Humanity cuts both ways, so why didn’t the man & woman have any humanity for the landlord and MOVE THE HELL OUT of the apartment, so the man could rent the space?? Even IF they SO CALLED had nowhere to go, how is that the landlords problem?? The minute the girl was out of work they should have given the landlord 30 days noticed and bounced!! As my mother used to say, "that would have been too right!!" They should have put their stuff in storage and moved in with framily or friends?? Maybe they didn't do that because they burned bridges with them?? Or go to a homeless shelter?? Or call The Red Cross?? Anything would have been better than hijacking the landlords apartment. That's down right ghetto!! That kind of behavior is more telling of their lack of character and integrity than the lanlords so called lack of humanity.

Do people think landlords are their daddy and should help them when their down and out?? Here's a thought, WHERE WAS THEIR SAVINGS!! You mean between two people, they don't have enough money saved up for a rainy day, like unemployment, where they are able to pay their rent for at least 6 months?? Yes, I'm aware that the economy is a hot mess! Yes I am aware that many of us are living pay check to paycheck and unemployment would fast track most of us to eviction. I totally get it. Again, if I'm living with a man and WE can't do better together, then we need to stay our broke a_ses by ourselves!! LOL.

Oh and the coup de grace, the man is mad because the landlord filed a statewide lean against him for the back rent he owes, also reported it to all the credit reporting agencies and now it's stopping them from getting approved for apartments. PERFECT!! Did this man care that he was stopping the landlord from renting the space?? So why should the lanlord care about stopping them from renting a new apartment!! As the saying goes, "all is fair in love and war!!"

Little did this selfish fool know, I've been both landlord and tenant so his boo hooing was falling on def ears!! ‪ #ICaaaaant!! Talking to this miscreant ‘motherclucker’ made my ‪#‎brainbleed‬!! What is that!!?? OMG, IS IT ME!!???
